Brighton Skyline.

The office at 15 Gifts.com , has had a proper Faye Suzannah hit of turquoise over the last month!

Had a great time researching and sketching for this mural, i've been in Brighton for 2 years and have managed not to notice some of the weird and wonderful architecture around the place.!

I got a bit grumpy about having to draw the Pavillion and Pier just like every other artist .. but in the end, the beauty of the peace statue and the Hanover streets have made me see my seaside residence in a new light.

It has been a battle of fine lines and mouldy walls but i'm really happy with this end result.!!

Whalefest 2014.

The Whale murals of previous years painted by the wonderful John Ives inspired me to get involved with Whalefest 2014. Is has been a great chance for me to showcase my mural work in the centre of Brighton. and all for a VERY good cause.!

The event runs 14th/15th of March in Brighton and is being kicked off with the "release" of a lifesized orca whale model into the ocean just next to palace pier. Exciting! see you there

All volunteers, including random members of Brighton public, have been amazing fun to work with.!

Taghazout Xmas. Surf Marroc

I was cold and wet and out of work. then SURF-MAROC saved me from the winter blues.

Just got back from a sunshine-filled month in the Marroccan surf town of Taghazout where 2014 got off to a very painty start..

Meadow View. Hove

We have a new abode. its near the Brighton racecourse. I think Mango is still pining for Preston Park and Glastonbury Tor.. but never have I enjoyed so much to walk my dog .. because the air and the grass is dry these days and i have had this lovely project to research..!

Thanks to Ellie Wyatt for letting me loose on her studio wall. Behind this painting she is doing serious music business!!! look/listen here at her impressive work.

Cabot Primary School . Bristol

Superblue!. Cabot Primary School

This week i have been mostly hanging out with the community of Cabot Primary school in Bristol. Throughout art week, the pupils of reception class and years; 1,2 and 6 helped me to layer up the fishes on this awesome under the sea scene!

98%+view.jpg

These cheeky St Pauls kids and the schools staff ( who all got involved too!)taught me indirectly about Excellence, Inclusion and Partnership as we got painty in the sun ( mostly in the sun). Please note the credit goes all to them and to Mr Ackner, who organised the project and is no doubt one of the most passionate teachers i've ever met.

Here is his teachers blog

And how can i spend a week in St Pauls without a carnival reference?? After this week, i've got blue paint on my hands, soca music in my ears.. and now Trinidad in my sights... !

100 Acre Wood

Now i'm based in Brighton, East Sussex, it was only a matter of time before me and my 4 legged friend Mango made it to walk in the mud in Ashdown forest AKA Winnie the Pooh's hundered acre wood. The wintery trees and storybook vibe set up a nice concept for this tree mural. As well as stunning countryside around Brighton, the city is full of more fun and more nice people than i ever imagined!!

Sunrise Festival.

So, finally we saw the mega mural up on-site at Sunrise celebration Festival.

The bad installation of it didn't worry me, neither did the mud or the weather. I just had a really really nice time with all of my lovely friends. This time next year we'll be back in the fields of gold where we belong...

Yes we
raved like idiots in our wellies.!!! but we just couldn't help it there was so much love in the air and great tunes in our ears!!!!

Market House Glastonbury

Juke box blues (and purples, and greens )

So far, our special friend the peacock and his snazzy feathers has been quite an ongoing theme in Glastonbury this winter!. the freshly wed and brand new landlady of The Market House is making sure everybody knows shes there and has chosen a feathered theme throughout the pub that suits me and my brushes just fine!

As she jetted off on her honeymoon this week and left me to work my magic by the pool table; the snow fell hard outside, i got a bit sad about the daytime drinking habits of my town and i wished that somebody would CHANGE THE MUSIC

where am i gonna find, someone like yooooooou???
good F**king question Adele

Mirror Mosaics,

Reflective times in sw7

City VS country is the theme these days, I'm dividing my time between the 2. Gazing through bus windows along the A303 is giving me plenty of time to ponder on which environment is simply better for a girl like me. THEN i realise i dont have to decide, and i find myself in Vauxhall where young children, dogs, pretty flowers, community and craft life exist despite the urban surroundings.

Heres' a garden corner i painted as the seasons turned. I learnt to use mortar, fell in love with raspberry coloured paint, battled with rain, broken mirrors and crumbly old walls! and I thank the Brookes for giving me the challenge.

This is the mock design i worked from using images from THIS incredible flower website

I also found time to skate around Stockwell, eat sushi in Soho and see the sun rise after a stupid night out on Brick lane. now THATS the city life i miss!!!

Mad Hatter. Street

Mad about tea and homemade cake

Although my home town of Glastonbury is saturated with independently run cafes, the neighbouring town of Street is the commercial opposite.
Across the road from Starbucks, Costa and Subway, the Mad hatter cafe in Street High st,is thriving on people who want no fuss builders tea, jacket potatoes with coleslaw and good old fruit cake made on the premesis.
