Pjama painting in the cottage
Because the simple act of applying paint with brushes is far more fun than facing the world sometimes.... i've been slowly but surely calculating and creating geometric patterns in my bedroom and gettting fruity in the kitchen..whilst listening to North London pirate reggae radio stations.....
his pattern evolves a bit each day and keeps me awake at night thinking about where it is going to go next
Somehow this fruit salad design always been a dream of mine.Luckily i live with easy going irishmen
Hostel Art. Piccadilly Circus
Let's admit it, winters on its way, painting with gloves on out-of-doors is not an appealing prospect...BUT the tourists are all going home and the rooms at the Piccadilly Hostal are going to be empty to paint again..... this is what i painted last year.
At the Piccadilly Hotel in Central London they are encouraging artists from all over to come and decorate rooms so that travellers can have a slightly more creative stay in our capital. I painted a jungle, inspired by the tropics surrounding Santa Cruz in Bolivia
3 Amigos skatestore Camden Rd
If this wasn't the best skateshop in London before, it is now!. The mexican theme and blue exterior of the wonderful skater-owned "3 amigos" shop opposite Londons' Camden Rd station was perfect for painting! Me and fellow female ripper Helen Lovlee went out of our (sugar) skulls battling typical British weather and general skate-rat harrassment to paint this mono-chrome mural..
Follow Pete, Kev and Francois in their north london skate antics HERE.
Max's Mexican madness
Like me, Max is hooked on South America. He commissioned me to paint him a mexican mural.... it turned out really a lot madder than expected but i think Shepton mallet needed cheering up a bit..... and now he has something to look at whilst washing up!.. Gracias para dejarme hacer lo que queria amigo!!
Tor Cottage Glastonbury
Hours after the Glastonbury festival had finished i was up ladders in the sunshine giving this house a floral facelift.A wonderful continuation of creativity in the countryside! Next time you take a walk up Glastonbury Tor or fill up your water bottles at the Chalice Well, keeps your eyes out for Tor Cottage and its blue and pink bouquet.
Mucho respecto to Alister and his taste in Reggaeton too!! I was transported back to the shores of Las Tejas for sure during this week!! Daddy yankee and friends can take all the creative credit for this one.
Bedroom Parrots.
Down South
Lucky young Rufus Tubb of London SW8 ,now has some parrots watching him take his afternoon naps. .. 3 glorious South London days painting and visiting Stockwell after hours.
Many thanks to red bull for lights in the park and for the Stockwell boys for a good night.. always.... skateboarding i missed you..
Ordem y Progresso. Bahia Brasil
Ordem e Progresso
4 Years ago i met a Brasilian dentist in a Spanish language class in the Basque Country. When people say "if you ever come to my country come and stay." they tend to mean it. Senor Gabriel Paternostro and family served me the tastiest food and were wonderful hosts in Salvador, Bahia. Of course i left my mark in their house.. muito obrigada. x
Argentina. Las Tejas. Zarate
Christmas Las Tejas .. and beyond.
Little did i know this crazy riverside campsite in Argentina would become a huge canvas for me and my ideas over the next few months. Here's what we did on Christmas day 2008. Already totally in love with Las Tejas....
Peacock under the puente
I painted a peacock and some jungle leaves on the massive bridge that seperates the world of camping Las Tejas from the town of Zarate. The sun was hot but the local radio reception was really clear. radio cielo.net and paintbrushes.. a combo i was to grow very fond of....
Laguna Beach wall
Taking advantage of the last sun of the summer....I totally transformed this concrete wall along the beach with some quite out-of character blue shapes. I was totally alone with my paintbrushes and my portable radio on the sand for 2 days running. it was bliss. the peacocks came to check out what was going on too.
Enamorada...
By this point i'm knee deep in the boat family politics, im waking up in the dark hours to get 8 hours painting in around social distractions, i'm hooked on the traditional Mate tea...and high on gloss paint.. im hooked.. enganchada estancada enamorada .. im scared to leave Las Tejas.
developing new painting styles everyday...
Beach house beautiful. Florianopolis .Brasil.
The wonderful family Luz let me stay and paint next to the praia in the south of Florianopolis, Brasil. Amarella flowers were studied in the garden. a wonderful few weeks. cant say obrigada enough!
Party Packs. Carnival ribbons
http://partypacks.co.uk is the best place to buy things to make your fiestas fabulous.
In the headquarters in Somerset i was commissioned to paint this mural based on the Mardi Gras and all things carnival... It brightened up the entrance hall and prepared me for my colourful Brasilian adventures to come. it also made me very happy to be leaving the winter behind.. my fingers got chilly
Poppy Field Terrace
La Terraza
This summer i was proud co-resident of the 119 terrace. London E1.
The lovely Lalita Powell let me loose on her exterior walls. We had serious fun times on the terrace. There WAS a British summertime this year, we were there, loving it all.
Listen to the city, its breathing!
Portugal green leaves
This trip to the Algarve became more than just a holiday...
Painting in the sun, in a bikini is almost certainly my favourite thing to do, ever.
